Course Details

Course Duration: 3 Days

Location: Premier Inn – Chesterfield North, Tapton Lock Hill, Off Rotherway, Chesterfield, S41 7NJ

Certification Gained: City & Guilds 2382-15 Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671: 2008 (2015)

Assessment: Candidates will be expected to complete a two hour examination after the third day of the course.

Recommended Reading: Attendees should own a copy of the current Amendment 3 version of the IET Wiring Regulations book and bring it with them.

This course is essential for anyone involved at any point with electrical work in the UK.

Officially replacing the older courses, the 2382-15 course incorporates the changes made to the IET Wiring Regulations under Amendment 3 (2015). Anyone carrying out work in the UK must be certified to do so under these standards.

This course is theory-based, with no practical elements.

Suitability

Although there are no formal entry requirements for this course, the 2382-18 18th edition course is primarily aimed at practicing electricians, surveyors, consultants and anyone else involved with any work that falls under the scope of the IET Wiring Regulations.

This course is suitable for beginners, although an interest and basic understanding of the principles of electricity will be beneficial.

Those with a 17th edition qualification will also need to attend this course to ensure they are working to the new 18th Edition standards.

Upon successful completion of this course, learners can move onto a wide variety of different electrical courses and further progress their skill sets.

City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Building Regulations for Electrical Installation Contractors in Dwellings (2393-10)

City & Guilds Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2395-01)

The City and Guilds accredited, the 2382-18 18th edition course in Derbyshire trains you to the latest standards outlined in the IET Wiring Regulations.

Anyone involved with wiring installations, commissioning and other jobs around domestic and commercial properties must be certified to carry out work in accordance with the Wiring Regulations. This course gives you a fully accredited certificate to show that you are qualified to carry out work to 18th Edition standards.

This course is run regularly throughout from it’s release date in July 2018 at our Chesterfield training venue and is ideal for those around the Derbyshire area, including Sheffield, Matlock, Mansfield, Worksop and Derby.

Note: Already certified to 17th edition standards? If so, you are required to take the new 18th Course to comply with all the changes that have been made to the standards. What Are the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations?

Regularly revised and published by the Institute of Engineering and Technology (the IET), the Wiring Regulations are the industry standard regulations for completing electrical work in the UK.

We recommend that all learners attending the 18th edition course Derbyshire purchase a copy of the book and bring it with them to the course for reference.
