This two-day City & Guilds PAT Testing course is delivered at our new Stevenage training centre. It is designed to provide you with an industry-recognised qualification and the skills needed to work as a certified PAT Tester. Combining essential theory with hands-on practical PAT Testing, the course covers a number of modules, set by City & Guilds, based on the IEE Code of Practice for Inservice Inspection and Testing. This course is an ideal starting point for those looking to enter the electrical industry or add PAT Testing to their current role.

Assessment:  1 hour 45 minute, open-book, online City & Guilds 2377-77 examination

Certification: City & Guilds 2377-77 In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment

Suitability

City & Guilds does not set entry requirements for this qualification. However, candidates attempting the qualification are expected to be familiar with electrical systems and the hazards of electricity to satisfactorily complete the qualification.

It would also be beneficial to complete our 1 x day PAT Competence Course prior to the 2377-77

There are no formal pre-requisites for this course however it is recommended that you have a good grasp of the following:

• An understanding of electrics/electrical background
• An understanding of OHMs law
• Basic maths skills
• A knowledge of PAT testing

Reading Requirements

Learners are required to be familiar with and bring to the course a copy of the IET Code of Practice (5th Edition).

Please Note for the Examination: It is a City & Guilds rule that no digital devices are allowed in an exam room. Only original hard copies of the IET Code of Practice are allowed.
