The City and Guilds In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment 2377-20 (PAT Testing) training course Stockton contains both theory and practical elements. Areas of study include hazards of electricity, classification of appliances, dangers, legal requirements, IEE Code of Practice, recording results and using a PAT Tester.
On completion of this PAT Testing training course successful candidates should be able to undertake basic PAT work and keep records to satisfy the Electricity at Works Regulations.
This City and Guilds PAT Testing course will conclude with a 30 question online examination. This will be open-book and will last one hour.
Successful candidates will achieve a City and Guilds In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment - 2377-20 certificate and a certificate of attendance from PASS.
Candidates who fail the examination will only receive a certificate of attendance from PASS.
The course is 1 day long from 9am-5pm and takes place at the purpose built Stockton on Tees electrical training centre in the North East of England.
This City and GuildsPAT Testing courseis aimed at anyone responsible for the maintenance of electrical portable appliances. This could range from qualified electricians following electrical training to those with basic PAT Testing knowledge.
Candidates who successfully complete the City and Guilds In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment 2377-20 training course will be able to progress to more advanced electrical training courses at the Teesside training centre:
No previous qualifications are required to be eligible for the City and Guilds 2377-20 PAT Testing training course. It is advisable that candidates have some basic PAT Testing knowledge and any previous electrical training would be advantageous.
City and Guilds advise that; It is expected that candidates attempting this qualification should be familiar with electrical systems and hazards of electricity in order to satisfactorily complete the qualification.
Candidates attending this PAT Testing course should bring a current copy of the IEE Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing 3rd Edition.
