

In 2009 the Government made changes relating to first aid training. This Emergency First Aid at Work training course comes as a result of these changes and will be taught at a dedicated training centre with excellent facilities.
Containing theory and practical learning elements, candidates will be able to thoroughly embed skills and knowledge in their mind. The course has been approved by HSE via Qualsafe, and monitored by leading experts in emergency care.
It is important to note that the First Aid Regulations and HSE recommend that first aiders in business environments should take part in annual refresher courses.

The emergency first aid course for the workplace contains theory and practical aspects for candidates to get the best possible training.
Once successfully completed, learners should have a basic knowledge of first aid and how to deal with an emergency situation effectively.
This course covers all essential sections including the duties of a first aider, what to do in an emergency. Basic life support skills, minor injuries and common medical conditions.

This emergency first aid course will be assessed continuously throughout the duration of the day as well as an end-of-course quiz which will test your knowledge and understanding of the course content.
Once all assessment criteria and relevant standards have been met, the learner will receive a Qualsafe approved certificate as proof of training.
The emergency first aid at work course is one day in length.
This first aid course is most suitable for those who work in, or a responsible for smaller work environments and those workplaces which are lower risk.
All those who successfully complete this course could move on to study higher level courses or a course from our range.
Candidates do not need to hold any prior qualifications in the subject but they must be interested in the content of the course.
