Suitability

This electrical training course is based around the BSi (British Standards Institution) IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition (BS 7671:2008). It is a short course for those who use and supervise the use of electricity at work. The training course is ideal for anyone with a commercial or managerial responsibility to ensure the safe usage of electricity or electrical equipment in the workplace, such as lighting and emergency lighting installations, and fire alarm and extinguishing systems.

Self-employed persons should also consider this electrical training as part of their responsibilities in the workplace.

Pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisite City and Guilds or other qualifications needed to take part in the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 electrical training course.

Assessment

Unlike other electrical courses, there will be no formal examination. However, all candidates will be closely monitored to ensure a full understanding of the rules and regulations.

Certification

Successful candidates will achieve an Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 short course certificate and a certificate of attendance from PASS.

Candidates who fail the examination will only receive a certificate of attendance from PASS.
