This course is the same as the 3.5 day 2382 17th edition course, only the syllabus will be split across 5 evening sessions. This course is great for those who are short on time and need to get their 17th edition.
This City and Guilds 17th Edition training course is aimed at electricians with relevant electrical experience or electrical training and other associated professionals such as: contractors, domestic installers, contract managers, designers, consultants and others that need knowledge of the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
The course will familiarise you with the content of the regulations and teaches you how to find your way around the BS 7671 (2008) 17th Regulations Edition. This course is also recomended for those who are registering onto a Part P scheme. A basic understanding is recommended for those who want to successfully complete this course.
This Electrical training course in the City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Full 2382-10 course is classroom-based course, with no practical work involved. It focuses on the BS 7671 2008 regulations and IEE on-site guide, covering details such as the scope and object of the regulations, safety, isolating and switching, terminology and definitions, shock protection, earthing and bonding, inspection and testing and more. The course will prepare you to sit the City and Guilds 2382 examination.
The course will deliver an industry-standard electrician training qualification, which covers the BS 7672 (2008) Regulations for electrical Installations. This Full version of the training course is recommended for those who have not completed a Wiring Regulations training course.
Candidates who successfully pass the City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations - 2382-10 electrical training course would be well positioned to continue onto the following City and Guilds qualifications:
Previous knowledge of the IEE Wiring Regulations is not assumed, but a fundamental knowledge of electrical principles is expected. For this reason, this course is more suited to those with electrical knowledge or training, or who have passed previous electrician courses.
There is an update course available for those who have completed a 16th Edition course after June 2001. This is called the City and Guilds 17th Edition - 2382-20 Wiring Regulations Update Course and is only 2 days.

The City and Guilds 17th Edition - 2382-10 electrical training course will be assessed by an open-book, 60-question, multiple choice online examination. The examination will take place on the afternoon of the fourth day of the electrical training course, using a PC.
Successful candidates will achieve a City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Full Course - 2382-10 certificate and a certificate of attendance from PASS.
Candidates who fail the examination will only receive a certificate of attendance from PASS.
Candidates are required to bring with them a current copy of BS 7671 2008 - IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulation.
The part time course is especially useful to those who work in the Stockton, Middlesbrough, North East, Newcastle, Cleveland and Teesside areas. Who want to enhance and advance their knowledge of and get a accredited City and Guilds qualification.
