City & Guilds 17th Edition Training Update Courses - 2382-20
This Manchester based 2382-20 17th Edition course is a classroom based training session that does not involve practical work.
The 2382-20 from City and Guilds has been designed for those who have previously completed the City and Guilds 16th Edition Certification after June 2001 and will deliver industry standard qualifications that cover the amendments within the updated BS 7672 (2008) regulations.
Assessment
The assessment will take place on the afternoon of the second day through a one hour, open book, 30 question, multiple choice online examination.
Certification
All successful candidates will receive a City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations update course certificate and a certificate of attendance from PASS.
Candidates who fail the examination will only receive a certificate of attendance from PASS.
Length
The 17th Edition update course is one and a half days long in total and is hosted in Manchester close to Preston, Stoke on Trent and Wigan.
PASS aim to spend more time teaching candidates face to face rather than giving them excessive amounts of homework as we feel the extra time spent teaching candidates can be far more beneficial than just giving them work to do at home and can help them to better understand the subject.
Suitability
The 17th Edition Greater Manchester update course is ideally suited to electricians and other professionals such as, contractors, domestic installers, contract managers, designers and consultants, with relevant experience or training who have previously completed the 16th Edition qualification and now need to update their knowledge of the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
Progression and Development
Candidates who successfully pass the City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations 2382-20 electricians training course, would be well positioned to continue onto the following City and Guilds qualifications:
- City & Guilds 2391-10 Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical installations
- City & Guilds 2392-10 Level 2 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification
Pre-requisites
To be eligible for the City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Update - 2382-20 electrician training course, candidates must have completed any of the following City & Guilds qualifications:
- City & Guilds - 2330-07 or 2330-08 Level 3 in Installation (Buildings & Structures) or Maintenance
- City & Guilds - 2351 Knowledge of Electrical Installation Engineering Certificate (completed as part of an Advanced Apprenticeship from January 2004 onwards)
- City & Guilds - 2360 Level 3 in electrical Installation Part 2. Certification post January 2004
- City & Guilds - 2381 16th Edition. Certification BS 7671 post June 2001
