City & Guilds 17th Edition Training Update Courses - 2382-20

The City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Update 2382-20 Derbyshire is a classroom-based course involving no practical work. The course will deliver industry-standard electrical training which covers recent amendments within the BS 7672 (2008) electrical installation regulations. This course is recommended for those who have completed the City & Guilds 16th Edition Certification BS 7671 after June 2001.

Assessment

The City and Guilds 17th Edition  2382-20 Clay Cross course will be assessed through a one hour examination. This open-book, 30-question, multiple choice online test is taken on the afternoon of the second day using a PC.

Certification

Successful candidates will gain a City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Update 2382-20 certificate and a certificate of attendance from PASS.

Candidates who fail the examination will only receive a certificate of attendance from PASS.

The length of the course is 1.5 days and is hosted at the training centre situated in Clay Cross, Derby close to Sheffield.

Suitability

This City and Guilds 17th Edition, Derby training course is aimed at electricians with relevant experience or electrical training and other associated professionals such as: contractors, domestic installers, contract managers, designers, consultants and others needing to update knowledge of the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.

Progression and Development

Candidates who successfully pass the City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations 2382-20 electrical training course would be able to continue with the following City and Guilds qualifications:

Pre-requisites

To be eligible for the City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Update 2382-20 electrician training course, candidates must have completed at least one of the following City & Guilds qualifications:

  • City & Guilds - 2330-07 or 2330-08 Level 3 in Installation (Buildings & Structures) or Maintenance
  • City & Guilds - 2351 Knowledge of Electrical Installation Engineering Certificate (completed as part of an Advanced Apprenticeship from January 2004 onwards)
  • City & Guilds - 2360 Level 3 in electrical Installation Part 2. Certification post January 2004
  • City & Guilds - 2381 16th Edition. Certification BS 7671 post June 2001

Proof must be provided of one of the above qualifications to be accepted onto this course. Original certificates or certificate number is also required.
