The City & Guilds 2382-10, 17th Edition based in Derby is a classroom-based course with no practical work involved. Focusing on the BS 7671 2008 Regulations and IEE On-site Guide, it covers details such as the scope and object of the regulations, safety, isolating and switching, terminology and definitions, shock protection, earthing and bonding, inspection and testing, and more. The course prepares candidates to sit the City and Guilds 2382 17th Edition exam.
This 17th Edition course delivers an industry-standard City & Guilds qualification, which covers the BS 7672 2008 Regulations for Electrical Installations. The City & Guilds Wiring Regulations course is recommended for those who have not completed 17th Edition Training before.
The East Midlands based City and Guilds 2382-10 17th Edition Training course is assessed by an open-book, 60-question, multiple choice online examination. This exam takes place during the afternoon of the fourth day and involves the use of a PC.
Successful candidates will achieve a City & Guilds 2382-10 17th Edition Level 3 Wiring Regulations certificate and a certificate of attendance from PASS.
Candidates who fail the examination will receive a certificate of attendance from PASS.
This course is 3.5 days long and is hosted at The Training centre in Clay Cross, close to Sheffield, Chesterfield, Stoke on Trent, Nottingham, Mansfield and Derby.
This City and Guilds 17th Edition training course is aimed at electricians with relevant electrical experience/electrical training and other associated professionals such as: contractors, domestic installers, contract managers, designers, consultants and others that need IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations. The course teaches candidates essentials of the BS 7671 (2008) IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
The Derbyshire City and Guilds 2382-10 17th Edition Course is recommended for those who are registering on a Part P scheme. A basic understanding of the regulations is recommended for those who want to successfully complete the course.
Candidates who successfully pass the City & Guilds 2382-10 17th Edition Level 3 Wiring Regulations Course would be able to continue onto the following City and Guilds qualifications:
Previous knowledge of the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations is not assumed, but some knowledge of electrical principles is expected. For this reason, the City & Guilds 2382-10 course is more suited to those with electrical knowledge, training or who have passed previous electrical courses.
There is a 17th Edition Update course available for those who have completed the 16th Edition course after June 2001. This is called the City and Guilds 17th Edition - 2382-20 Wiring Regulations Update Course and is 1.5 days long in total.
